The new owner (Luke) has contined from where the last left off. C-West has had a bit more influence on my old car. First thing I noticed was the C-West Lights and radical new paint. The moulded rear fender into the RE-Amemiya GT kit is from the previous owner but it still remains, as do the wheels. These are some of the last pics of the FD in my ownership. It was really looking good with the rear spacers and I was enjoying it until the end. Lessons learned... NONE Money Spent... TOOOO MUCH! Advice.... keep it standard!

This is the car looking it's best! Spacers are on. The wheels are filling the guards nicely, It is tuned with bags of tyre burning power. I was driving hard a lot. And still using the car daily. I replaced the clutch and installed the Header pipe and got a new Catalyser. Polished up, the car looked awesome. But it was getting time to sell. The cost of ownership in Australia is very high.

After returning to OZ. The tuning scene is a lot about 19" wheels. I chopped these on to see what they weould look like. OMG! Amazing... Now I had to have some... But which ones. ADVAN RG II create a mad look , Enkei RP-F1 look almost elegant and the TE-37 are just race inspired.I did actually choose 19" Enkei RP-F1 with 9 and 10 inch combo in +20 OffsetRuss.

This photshoot was at Currumbin Estuary. I had just installed a new Sony Explod stereo and the HKS pod Filters. I also added a Speco Manual boost guage. The car was looking good. By now the only thing I was thinking about was new wheels and or a set of spacers for the rear. Miguel sent me some Nissan ones. I was waiting for a friend to machine some wheel studs to suit. My brother and I headed out early one morning to take some on road shots of the roach. Looks good on the street but it needs rear spacers to fill the guards. Apart from that it looks smooth and there is some speed in these images so the car is remarkably flat on the road. Turn in isn't so good. the 225s complain though under duress as the rubber is very old now. It is hard anyway. Russ.

Without even a buff yet, I couldn't wait. I had to get some pics. The car looks awesome and the attention it receives is truely amazing. People leaning out to take pics. And a lot of hellos. I am happy with it. the look is fantastic and the car drives really well too at the moment. Here is the beast. I made a custom Flip type number holder for the front. It flips up but doesn't go back down at the moment. This pic shows the colour best. Bronze Gray Metallic. It really contrasts well with the RAYS anthracite wheels.Smooth rear is not intentional but looks OK i guess. IMO still needs a GT Wing.Russ.

C-West style bumper finished with Mesh inserts.Bonnet painted ready for installation.Car body was painted in insane temperatures due to time constraints. Colour is a tiny shade off.Russ.

The RE-Amemiya GT AD kit is ON! the rear filler cap took a long time. I used screws so I could potentially take it off, and i didn't trim the fenders underneath... thats still to come.But the result is absolutely awesome. Needs wheels or spacers.Russ.

In order to fit the RE-A GT Kit, the original skirts had to come off.Looks OK, but it was incredibly dirty under there. I had to CUT the skirts off because the double sided tape was incredibly good at sticking.Russ.

Got a Pivot Sleepy light conversion from Hirano. Cheap and cool.It was easy to install and didn't take long.Lights go up, Lights go down... They say it helps underbonnet temps too.Russ.

Today the RE-Amemiya parts arrived after I bought them at fuji. The Bonnet has awesome vents and is finished well. Rear guards have petrol cap also... hmm difficult to install,., Front guards look straight forward as they simply bolt stright on.Russ.

My search for TE-37 led me to Hasegawa in west tokyo. They had some but I saw these RAYS SE-37W. wow different! Unique... Forged... just as light as TE-37 and more importantly on 118,000 yen with tyres.!!!! a quick test fit had me thinking...

It has arrived in it's true normal form. As the badge says it is an Efini RX-7.Options include side skirts, fog lamps and rear spoiler. Rear muffler is HKS Super Dragger. Interior has just a pivot horn button and an imola steering wheel to distinguish it from normal. A double din stereo is unexciting but enabled me to enter a scrolling "RE-Xtreme". thats cool.Russ.

My request for a bone stock FD finally led to this example. A 1994 stocker with high kilometers. I was intending on modifying most components so the low price for a near perfect car was ok. Here are some thoughts for a black FD, After notification of a black car being purchased I was thinking of ideas for it. I settled on this C-West N1 design with ADVAN AVS 6 wheels in red blue or Bright Green. The Front splitter from Asamoto's D1 FD was popular at this time so that would have made it onto the car also.Russ.
